The game of Pokemon is called “Catch ’em All”. The journey to becoming the best Pokemon player has never been easier.
Many improvements to the red, black and white Poke Ball design were made in order to keep up the pace with Ultra Beasts, legendary creatures and shinies as well as hundreds of other Pokemon. Let’s look at the top ten collectible Poke Balls for all kinds of Pokemon-catching technologies featured in the legendary franchise.
10. Master Ball
Did you think this would be number one? In a world where you want to catch all the creatures, the Master Ball will not work. It can catch some rare creatures, but it is limited to one species.
You can only make one catch with the Master Ball. The Master Ball is the only treasure that can be found in Pokemon games. You don’t need it to complete your Pokedex. You can miss your chance to obtain the Master Ball in certain games.
However, you should always have at least one guaranteed catch, in case you come across a rare or difficult legendary. You should not throw it at Caterpie.
9. Heavy Ball
The Heavy Ball, like its name, is more effective for larger Pokemon found in wild. Because of their strength and rarity, larger Pokemon are notoriously hard to catch. Therefore, it is always a good idea for you to have some of these.
It’s not guaranteed to catch and there is a small number of Pokemon this gray-colored ball is effective against. However, you don’t have to buy more than one Poke Mart. Because of their size, they are also very useful against legendaries such as Arceus, Kyogre and Giratina. With the Heavy Ball, Snorlax can be rescued.
8. Net Ball
There are so many Pokemon. Certain Poke Ball collectibles in the franchise are designed for trainers looking to fill specific gaps in their Pokedex. The Net Ball works like a net to trap certain species of creatures.
The colorful dome has a mesh pattern and is ideal for catching any insects that are not suitable for a net. This is the perfect tool to help you catch them all and recreate the bug or fish collecting experience.
7. Keep repeating
While the Repeat Ball isn’t going to help you with Pokemon not in your dex yet, it will help you with other aspects of gameplay like trading, breeding, shiny-hunting, and even trading!
The Repeat Ball is better at stopping specific Pokemon species that have been registered in your Pokedex database. Its helix-like design is memorable and bright. This helps you to avoid wasting time and resources when you are trying to find the perfect Pokemon team.
6. Premier Ball
A Poke Ball’s design can often be more significant than its effectiveness in capturing special mechanics. The sleek Premier Ball will likely be respected by your battle opponent and may even be feared, as they are less common than their store-brand counterparts.
They are not available for purchase, which makes them more difficult to find. Premier Balls are often given in smaller amounts to players who have purchased a few other Poke Balls at the local shopping centers. These Poke Balls don’t provide any benefits for the capture mechanic in the game. However, their minimalist design of red and white is a great way you can show off your earnings as your battle your way through Pokemon League.
5. Safari
The Safari Ball is an exclusive tool that can be used to catch Pokemon. It can only found within the Safari Game. Each player who enters the Safari Zone is given 30 Safari Balls. The game ends when their ball count reaches zero or the player exits early. All balls that are not used will be returned. You may only be allowed to take a certain number of steps in some games. Why are these considered to have the best balls?
The Safari Zone is home of rare wild Pokemon. Many can only be obtained within the game limits. It is important to note that this zone does not allow players to fight the Pokemon within it. The Safari Ball must only be thrown without fighting. Trainers can try to convince the Pokemon to accept treats or other distractions. However, the Safari Ball is responsible for all the work and will allow you to walk out with a new partner.
The Safari Zone functioned as normal routes throughout the region in later generations, but this was an extremely special place for your Pokedex.
4. Ultra Ball
The Ultra Ball is one of the most popular “basic” Poke Ball types. This sleek, black and yellow item improves the Great Ball’s capture rate. It’s slightly more expensive than the Great Ball, but players will have enough battles and gym badges by then to be able afford it.
Once you have earned 3-5 badges, or if you find them randomly around the world, Ultra Balls will be readily available to you. Although many of the 27 Pokeball types are more advanced, this ball is best for traditional trainer kits and capturing all the random Pokemon that you encounter along your journey.
3. Heal Ball
While the Heal Ball isn’t a great tool for capturing a Pokemon, it does offer some advantages. However, it’s the process that follows catching a successful one that makes it so useful. A pink and blue sphere can be used to heal a Pokemon, restoring its HP, moves, and curing any status conditions.
Trainers on the move who have Pokemon in storage are automatically healed. Active trainers should have a Heal Ball.
2. Quick Ball
There are so many Pokemon you can catch these days that it’s easy to get lost. You might want to try the Quick Ball. If you have an itchy trigger finger, throw the Quick Ball at your turn to maximize effectiveness. This can be used to defeat any Pokemon (except those that belong to another trainer).
The blue and yellow sunburst-patterned Poke Ball’s capture rate is the same as regular Poke Balls, even if you don’t use it in your first turn. However, you never know what could happen if it isn’t used quickly enough in battle.
This should not be confused by the Fast Ball. The Fast Ball is more effective against Pokemon that move quickly and try to flee from battle more often (but it doesn’t include Abra’s teleport ability). However, Fast Ball was initially limited to Magnemite, Grimer, or Tangela.
1. Timer Ball
The Quick Ball’s flip side is that patience can sometimes be rewarded. Take the Timer Ball. The Timer Ball can be very useful in laborious battles against formidable foes. In fact, it actually becomes more effective the longer the battle drags on. This can be crucial in a fight that is slugging out, especially if the majority of your team have fallen against legendary foes like Groudon or Rayquaza.
To get the most bang, trainers need to be ready for a long fight. You will need plenty of revives, potions and other items to help you win the battle. This shiny ball with a red stripe down the dome will win the battle against higher-level creatures. This item should be in every trainer’s arsenal. Nothing can beat the feeling of getting a capture after a long battle. It will make your Pokemon collection grow!
