Many people don’t realize the numerous sound and valid reasons why freeze dried and dehydrated food is so popular. These foods include pastas, noodles, pastas, eggs, beans and pancakes. These foods are similar to those you can find in supermarkets, except that our food is more affordable in bulk packaging and has a long shelf life.
Our approach is very simple. We offer the same foods that you purchase and eat, but in large quantities with no fancy packaging and labels at significantly lower prices than the supermarket. Our food lasts longer than supermarket varieties, as they don’t use oxygen absorbers and air-tight container. Reducing your dependence upon the supermarket will help you save money, reduce gas consumption, be ready for an emergency or crisis when it comes to food, and spend less on fancy packaging and empty air.
We have also researched extensively the effects of climate changes and know that food is likely to become scarce in the future. This is why food storage will be the best solution. Climate change already has a severe impact on global food production, and it is only going to get worse.
Bulk Food Is Better Than Gold
Gold isn’t the ‘investment” that gold sellers often extol. Here’s a list of reasons why. Food storage is better than having to convert your gold into food stuff (a difficult but necessary step in order to make it spendable). This step is often overlooked. How much it takes to complete, how expensive it actually costs and whether it can even be done. Timing is crucial when trying to sell precious metals in order to convert them into cash. There are many people, businesses, gas stations and stores that won’t accept gold. These days, gold is not an essential commodity. Food is. A man with food is better than a man without. He may offer to sell you some food, but that’s not likely because no one really needs gold. However, everyone needs food.
Bulk Food Costs Less!
It is an economical way of saving hundreds, or even thousands, by purchasing bulk food. While survival food purchases may be a necessity for large institutions, the average family could save hundreds of dollars per month by buying bulk food. Bulk food purchases will save you money and avoid expensive packaging. We offer our products in small cans, buckets and bags (up to 50 pounds) with the same great quality as you have come to expect.
Bulk food is concentrated. A #10 can of food (a gallon) holds a lot of food. Depending on the food, this can could contain anywhere between 12 and 70 servings. You can do the same at the supermarket.
The last few years have seen a lot of progress in dehydrated foods. These foods have a similar flavor and texture as their freeze-dried counterparts. We specialize in bulk foods. The cost per pound of bulk food is often less than what you would pay at your local grocery store.
We would love to have you take a look at the products, compare their prices with those of your grocery store and evaluate your needs. If you are still not satisfied, please contact us to discuss how we can help.
You can keep it for a long time! 7 – 30 years!
Bulk foods can be stored in cans or buckets for up to 7 to 30 years. You don’t need refrigeration (even if there is no power, your food will be fine). Many factors affect shelf life, including temperature, oxygen, and moisture. More information is available at the link.
A few Comments on Canned Food (Supermarket Food)
Don’t believe Hollywood’s portrayals of “survivors of the Apocalypse”, who eat store-bought food (cans and packaged food also called wet-pack food), which were scrounged or stored away for decades. This story is false. It would kill those who still dare to eat it.
Supermarket food, of any type, will have long spoiled or rotted away in the cans because of bacteria or acidity. These foods cannot be kept on the shelf for extended periods of time. Even the cans don’t have the capacity to be stored for extended periods of time. All store-bought foods in plastic packaging or plastic containers will be unfit for consumption. These foods will no longer be available for consumption because of bacteria, oxygen, and mold. Because of contamination, eating any of these foods will most likely cause your death years later. The job will be completed by food poisoning or diarrhoea. Also, starvation can take a severe toll.
To ensure that nothing is damaged or spoilt, survival shelters that are stocked with supermarket food need to be rotated and restocked every month. This is a short-term “preparedness strategy” that is ineffective. Canned canned wet-pack foods will last 2 – 5 years. Please review Still Tasty. However, it’s extremely risky to eat them beyond that.
It is not possible to store canned food in a can that lasts for more than a few years. This is a common mistake that many people make, which includes stockpiling canned food for difficult times in the future. They are wasting their money unless they can eat the food fast enough. You can achieve this level of food security only if you store foods in sealed containers that are airtight and kept in cool locations. This capability is only possible with dry, dehydrated, or freeze-dried food.
The food will not be contaminated by oxygen, bacteria or mold if it is sealed with oxygen absorbers. Containers must not be oxygen-permeable. That is why we use mylar liners for our buckets of food. We also recommend the mylar food pouches that we have or hard-sided containers with an oxygen absorber.
Real food security requires doing the job correctly the first time. Don’t waste your time, effort or money on something that doesn’t work.
Nutrition!
The nutritional value of freeze dried and dehydrated foods is preserved without the additions and chemicals found in store-bought food. These additives and chemicals are harmful to your health so try to avoid them all. Bulk foods are packed in oxygen-free environments, so there is no need for preservatives and additives to keep them fresh.
Studies show that foods dehydrated are much more nutritious than foods canned or frozen. The natural nutrition is preserved by dehydration. Example: The nutritional loss due to frozen foods is between 40 and 60 %!!!. This is because food cells break down when frozen, leading to nutrition loss due to cellular damage.
Canning is worse than that – nutrition loss can reach as high as 60-80 %!!! This is due in part to high temperatures and foods that have been immersed into water.
Dehydration is the best preservation method, while keeping all nutrients in the food. Dehydration is a great way to preserve food while still preserving as much nutrition as possible.
Easy to store!
You can store freeze dried or dehydrated food anywhere you want it to be, and they will always be available for you when you need them. The packaging we use doesn’t include a lot empty air or fancy labels which can be a major cost factor for food today. One can of dehydrated veggies, for example, is the equivalent of several “wet-pack” cans of canned vegetables. It is very easy to store our food because it is so concentrated! We will need less storage space to store our food than you would for supermarket foods. You can even store extra food under your mattress! Your food will be safe from rodents, insects, and dust if it is in cans. No refrigeration required!
Investment!
A sound financial investment is buying food now. Food costs continue to rise every year. Everyone must eat. Today, food is the biggest single purchase consumers make each month. Buy food in bulk to maximize your return. This strategy can save you hundreds of dollars, or even thousands. The savings you can make by avoiding unnecessary trips to the grocery shop at high gas prices today can make a big difference in your monthly budget.
It is said that “What you buy today, will cost more tomorrow.” This is due to inflation, but it’s even more so because of the increasing costs of fuel and production (farming). Soon, fuel costs will double or even triple the cost of goods (all goods). The oil-dependent economy is very sensitive to the price of oil. Everything is affected by this energy resource. Every other aspect of life is affected by rising energy costs. Although it is not a direct 1:1 ratio it is much worse. The cost of metals, for instance, has tripled in three months. Due to rising oil prices, the cost of resources like metal, wood and food as well as concrete, tires, concrete, and other materials has risen dramatically. This will continue to get worse as energy resources decrease. The cost of consumer goods today is cheap compared to tomorrow’s.
People don’t know how tightly food and oil are interconnected. Oil is what allows for today’s huge production of food. Oil prices skyrocket as supplies drop and diminish. Oil-based machinery runs everything, from farm equipment to production facilities to transportation and distribution. Rising oil prices have impacted even local delivery trucks. Even accounting for inflation, food won’t be as inexpensive as it is now.
Update: We have seen a dramatic fall in oil prices – and food costs have continued to rise despite having lower fuel prices. This is largely due to extreme weather events that have decimated crops and driven up prices. We have also lost more than 1/3 of the nation’s topsoil, which has lowered our food production. Many areas are suffering from climate change and seasonal variations, which are having a major impact on harvests. Over 795,000,000 (795 millions) people are either chronically hungry or starving. The world’s food production continues to drop.
It’s possible for your financial situation to change. Each year, “pink Slips” are handed out to tens of thousands of Americans. It is important to consider the consequences of a serious illness, injury, or job loss. Losing a steady income can seriously impact your ability and ability to feed your family.
An effective food storage plan will make all the difference in whether you sell assets to survive (which almost always happens), or are forced to relocate for employment.
Inflation is another important economic issue that is often overlooked. Each year, inflation is increasing. In some cases, it doubles in an instant. Although it is unavoidable, inflation is a common occurrence. It is possible to spend more on what you buy today than you do tomorrow. This makes it wise to invest in the right things today.
