Planning a fun packed family trip to London

Next weekend we’re going to London for 3 days as a family unit of five…am I mad?! Yes I’m but I have wanted to have the kids to the capital of ours for a very long time now, and also I finally believe time is perfect. Going out with kids might be a daunting and a stressful procedure – from obtaining the packing done, making everybody that is sure is satisfied and entertained, and never forgetting the absence of rest (sorry kids!) But with a few useful planning, I’m wanting our family drive to London is a smooth one, and thus there’ll be absolutely no tears!! Wish me luck!

London is not just about restaurants & shopping (although that seems lovely!) It is a melting pot of recreation. There’s very much to see and do that’s ideal for every age – theatre productions, museums, trips – it could be fairly overwhelming and also hard to discover exactly where to begin.

Below are some tips I have drawn up for family days out in London which I am hoping find use to another person.
How you can be there

  • We have chose to get as we’ve a thirteen month old (as well as B who is seven and W who’s four) so travelling through train wouldn’t were enjoyable! By doing this we are able to carry what we would like without stressing about holding it to and from facilities also.
  • As we’re driving, we have to think about congestion charges – this’s free Sunday and Saturday but we are going to need to purchase the Monday. The day fee is £11.50 if traveling in between the time of 7am – 6pm.
  • If travelling by train, the main stations are Euston and also Marylebone. If travelling off peak, you are able to obtain train tickets very cheap!
Where to remain on your family trip to London
  • Research core hotels to help you relieve the strain of getting from one spot to the subsequent. Even though it is usually a bit pricer, it is going to mean you’re much more central to where you wish to go. Having someplace much more main will mean you are able to pop again to the hotel of yours in between visiting attractions if requirements be.
  • Think of what hotels offer discounts. Some London Hotels have savings that are large when reserving with the likes of Groupon.
  • Consider premier/travel inns. We have settled upon a central Premier Inn located around Tower Bridge.
  • When contemplating your family drive to London, feel about what aspects of London you know where and already you feel at ease staying area good. London is massive and could be frustrating so if travelling with kids, try to help make it a bit less so by going to a location you understand.
  • Book ahead of time! We booked several months ahead of time and quite often, hotels give you a cheaper deal in case you book and pay right away instead of hold back until the arrival of yours.
Consider just how you’re planning to get around London Town
  • Consider obtaining an oyster card in case you want to go by tube. Or maybe whats easier still is you are able to pay by contactless.
  • With 3 kids, I realize it is not likely to be the simplest. Nevertheless, with 2 kids in a thrust chair, we have decided to take one pushchair (we do not possess a double) and work with an infant carrier for Baby K. This can mean we’re not lugging around 2 pushchairs and also have a set of hands that are free.

Think about what attractions you would like visiting

  • London attractions are able to get incredibly hectic. So plan in advance for the family drive to London and consider the place you would like visiting, particularly if this’s over a weekend or maybe a bank holiday.
  • Check out the nearby discount apps like Wowcher and Groupon to see what tourist attractions are on offer
  • You are able to save when you pre-book. London Zoo provide a discounted price in case you pre book. This goes for several attractions including the London Eye, Shrek Adventure and Madame Tussaud’s.

Where you can eat

Theres such enjoyable places eat in London which is completely kid friendly. We have chose to pre book The Rain Forest Cafe and Bubba Gump Shrimp. There’s additionally places as Spaghetti House, Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe.
We’ll be taking many SNACKS for all the children extremely much like what we did for Disney Land Paris. This can keep the children entertained whilst walking about and can save us buying costly snacks!

I am hoping these hints on our imminent family trip to London were of some usage – watch this particular space for the future trip of ours!
